He arrived at Anami in 2004 coming from a circus, where he was forced to perform circus acts under mistreatment. He was soon integrated with Matheus and Carol, his siblings, who had been separated shortly after birth, and the reunion was marked by much celebration and play.

Lucas likes to be alone and is individualistic, although he is sometimes seen interacting with others. It is common to observe him showing displays of strength, standing bipedally, banging a plastic bottle on his chest, and making a lot of noise in an attempt to scare away anyone who intimidates him. Lucas is a strong and focused chimpanzee.
