Female. DOB: 04/12/04, zoo in Argentina. She was transferred to the sanctuary on January 23, 2018, along with Pweke, her father, and Punia, her mother. Very withdrawn, she always hid behind her mother and took a long time to trust the team. She didn’t even approach to get her favorite fruit. Sometimes she ate her parents’ leftovers because she was too afraid to go near the trays. She often fought with Pweke, which occurred when she wanted to take some food from him. With much insistence, Zuri lost her fear. The disagreements subsided as she realized that the food was plentiful and that the team was there to support her. Zuri loves to climb the towers and stand upside down feeling the sun and wind that he loves so much. She is very active and playful. Her coat shines like never before.
