Female. DOB: 05/26/87. She arrived at the sanctuary together with Maria, in 2007, very suspicious and very apprehensive. She carried trauma from 20 years of mistreatment in the circus. She wouldn’t go down to the floor, she wouldn’t leave the room and she would look around in fear of any noise. After some time receiving assistance and care, she gained confidence. Currently, she lives with five other chimpanzees and chose Pedrinho as her roommate and whom she turns to in times of conflict in the group. Her favorite pastime is lying in the tower watching everything. On cold days, she does not hesitate to carry her blankets outside and is completely covered, with only her head exposed.
