André arrived at the Anami Institute in 2007 and was integrated into a group with 5 other chimpanzees. He is a cheerful chimpanzee, though a little timid. To deal with challenges within the group, he formed an alliance with the alpha male Biito, relying on the safety and constant interaction between them.

It is very common to see André inviting the others to play. He also enjoys sitting in his tower with his legs crossed, resting and observing everything happening around him. He is very affectionate and has the personality of a calm chimpanzee who loves to interact.
